Quarterly (?) Midlife Crisis

This specific article doesn't have a specific point, so please read if interested or if you can relate.

In high school or even middle school, I wanted to be an adult. I wanted to submerge myself into my work and go on several dates at the same time just like people do in the movies. I thought everything in my life would literally be "La Vie En Rose"; perfection and everything.

However, things don't always go your way; you end up with a shitty 9-6 pm job with no love life, no mental or financial stability, etc. You get to live the whole reality vs expectation memes. I mean, if you are living your best life kudos to you; if not then you're not alone so I hope this makes you feel better.

This may be a bit old fashioned of me since I watch too many classic movies, but all I want to do is to get romantically involved with some classy guy that appreciates jazz, old movies, records, and cuddle with him at the end of the day.

Again, this blog serves no real purpose, but I'm sure a lot of people in their 20s are facing some sort of existential crisis like me, so I just wanted to vent and hopefully relate with someone reading this.
